The Hiker Mama

Spring Break Overview 2017

We had an amazing trip to Arizona for Spring Break this year. Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be putting up blog posts about all of the places we visited. I also have some book reviews to sprinkle in between that I think you’ll like.

This was my second time to Arizona (the first was probably 25 years ago for a couple of days with a youth group, and doesn’t really count.) I am already planning what I’m going to do when I come back. We visited old mining towns, drove through Sedona and Oak Canyon, and spent a day at the Grand Canyon. We stopped at Montezuma’s Castle, enjoyed a horseback ride through Saguaro NP, visited the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, Old Tucson Studios, Biosphere 2, the Phoenix Desert Botanical Gardens, Kartchner Caverns, and Tombstone. It was quite a variety of settings and activities. We had snow and hot sun, from north to south. There were many things on the list that we didn’t get to, and several places that I’d like to spend another couple of days. I’m looking forward to sharing them all with you.
