Season: Year-round

Description: This park, at over 1400 acres, gives plenty of opportunities for kids and grownups to stretch their legs. You can hike down to Beaver Lake, where you might catch a heron or hawk hunting for a meal. You can create a loop hike on the West View Trail, possibly catching a glimpse of Mt. Baker on a clear day. Or you can hike down to the Snohomish River if you’re up for a longer jaunt. The forest and wetlands support a wide range of wildlife and birds.

Directions: The address for the park is 12921 150th St. SE, Snohomish, WA 98290. Directions courtesy of Snohomish County Parks: From I-5 take Exit 194 and head east on US-2 for 8.4 miles; exit US-2 at 88th St SE.; turn right at the top of the ramp onto 88th St. (Note: 88th St becomes 92nd St, then 2nd St.); turn left at Lincoln Ave S. which becomes the Old Snohomish-Monroe Hwy; turn right onto 127th Ave SE; drive south approx. 2-1/4 miles; turn left onto 150th St SE and proceed to the park entrance on the left.
