Elevation Gain: You’ll gain less than 50 feet on the perimeter trail. Much of the path is flat.

Season: Year-round

Description: This wetland sits among industrial properties next to Boeing and other manufacturers in Everett. It was created as a wetland bank to mitigate filling in other wetlands for Paine Field. Now it provides habitat for a large array of creatures, from birds to dragonflies to snakes and rabbits. Children will enjoy exploring along the boardwalk, checking out the ponds, and learning about nature from the interpretive signs. Use caution on the boardwalks when they are wet, as they can be slippery. The perimeter trail utilizes sidewalks along busy streets at the south end fo the park; watch children carefully there.

Directions: The address is 6921 Seaway Blvd,Everett, WA. To get there, take I-5 to Everett and exit onto SR526 westward. Pass Evergreen Way and turn right at the next exit, Seaway Blvd. Turn right at the 3rd traffic light into the entrance for the Narbeck Wetland Sanctuary. It is just north of the Boeing Everett plant and across the street from the Fluke Corp.
